A free place to rest near Temple 33
Our Pilgrim Support Station is a former kimono shop near Sekkeiji, Temple 33 of the Shikoku 88-temple pilgrimage. You will find us on the route from the prefectural ferry landing on the Nagahama side to the temple. Look for a traditional house with a dark blue noren curtain.
Stop by for tea and a warm welcome from local people. This free hospitality, known as osettai, is part of the Shikoku pilgrimage tradition.
A historic kimono shop
Kishigami Gofukuten is a former kimono shop in a building around 120 years old. Today it serves as a welcoming rest stop for pilgrims and the local community. Take a quiet moment to enjoy the courtyard garden.
Upstairs, the guest rooms feature intricate carved transoms, beautifully finished on both sides. The veranda facing the street also has finely carved railings. Please take a look when you visit.
